Born on the 23rd of January 1906 in the Eastern Pyrenees region, Jean was a dynamic entrepreneur when he first arrived in the Cognac area, in charge of renovation projects for several Cognac makers. He soon felt an unconditional passion for the art of making Cognac and decided to invest in a small estate in Juillac Le Coq, the “Domaine Du Foucaudat”, where he perfected his distiller skills during many years.
After World War II, in 1945 the two children of Jean RICARD were in age to take over the familly business. They created PASQUINET Cognac trademark as a symbol of strength and revival after an extremely difficult period. This new Cognac rapidly met succes on the market, which led Gilbert and Jeannette to build a significant bottling plant near the family estate in order to be able to supply a fast growing market in France and Europe.
Before he took over the family business in 1985, Patrick started his career as a fine antiques and art trader. His creative talents and meticulous attention to detail strongly influenced the spirit of PASQUINET Cognac, giving it an artistic and timeless dimension.
After having gained international experience in Europe and South America, since 2012 Nicolas perpetuates the art of Cognac making on the land of his ancestors. Strong of a unique know-how perfected over the generations, he proudly represents the values of PASQUINET Cognac over the world.
